CMA has successfully concluded its inaugural Australian Pavilion at Vitafoods Asia 2026, held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok from 2–4 September.
Delivered with the strong support of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) through the Accessing New Markets Initiative (ANMI), the pavilion provided a dedicated platform to showcase Australia’s complementary medicines capabilities to buyers and industry partners from across Southeast Asia and beyond.
The Australian Pavilion brought together seven exhibitors – BIOGRUND, Blackmores Group, Ferngrove Pharmaceuticals, Homart Pharmaceuticals, Nature’s Sunshine Products Australia, Southern Cross University and Witsbb – showcasing the breadth and diversity of Australia’s complementary medicines sector across ingredients, research, manufacturing and finished products.
The pavilion experienced strong engagement throughout the three-day exhibition, with exhibitors making new connections, exploring distribution and partnership opportunities and gaining valuable insights into the rapidly growing Southeast Asian market. Austrade representatives from across the region also joined the pavilion to support participating Australian businesses and facilitate market connections.
Ahead of the exhibition, CMA and Austrade delivered a full day of market activities on 1 September, including a Thailand market briefing, retail tour, Thai FDA regulatory session and networking reception. The reception at the Australian Ambassador’s Residence attracted 130 attendees from Australia and across the region, providing an excellent opportunity for delegates to connect with potential partners and key industry stakeholders.
The week also demonstrated the strong reputation Australian complementary medicines continue to enjoy internationally, underpinned by Australia’s commitment to research, innovation, manufacturing excellence and a world-leading regulatory framework.
CMA sincerely thanks Austrade, particularly the Thailand and Southeast Asia teams, for its exceptional partnership and support in delivering the program, as well as all our exhibitors, delegates and industry partners who contributed to making CMA’s first Australian Pavilion at Vitafoods Asia such a success.
Following the strong response in Bangkok, CMA looks forward to continuing to support Australian businesses in building connections and pursuing new opportunities across Southeast Asia. Vitafoods Asia will head to Kuala Lumpur in 2027, and CMA will shortly share further information about the Australian Pavilion and invite expressions of interest from members. Stay tuned!
