Complementary Medicines Australia (CMA) is the peak industry body for the complementary medicines supply chain in Australia.
We represent a diverse range of members across the industry and work with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and Australian Government agencies including Austrade and DFAT.
We advocate for appropriate regulation and industry advancement, and support out members to drive research, innovation, quality and safety in complementary medicines.

OUR INDUSTRY
Complementary medicines encompass a wide range of products, from vitamins and minerals to herbal remedies and traditional medicines like Ayurveda and Chinese medicine. Over three-quarters of households use these complementary medicines. This reflects a growing emphasis on preventative health and wellbeing, driven by factors such as an ageing population, increasing chronic diseases, and a desire for natural health solutions.
